The name EKF consists of the first three letters of the German words ?development, construction and production” as the main business divisions. Founded 1990, the company extended continually and switched 1996 its headquarter to Barleben, near Magdeburg. Rich in tradition, this city has a notable university and excellent access to major highways as well as to Berlin, the capital of the Federal Republic of Germany.
